Supporting parents and their children to go to the beat of their own drum, to trust in where this journey—and our children—are leading us.
We do not live in a society and culture that truly cares for and sees our children. If we did then our children would be listened to. Their needs would be heard and met. They would have the freedom to explore and actualize who they are, what they want to learn, and how they want to learn it.
For some of us, we can feel deep within our guts that there’s another way for our children—a better way.
A way where, instead of spanking or yelling or threats we become a conscious parent. A way where we partner with our child in an actual, reciprocal relationship. We still hold boundaries, we still teach and guide them, but they also guide us in turn.
Because children have MUCH to teach us.
But let’s face it: it takes a tremendous amount of courage to break the mold and forge our own path.
